Tuition at ISI

ISI is a private, not-for-profit international school that was founded to provide a service to the business and diplomatic community. It has also become an educational choice for local residents. Tuition rates are based on specific circumstances.

Here is a breakdown of the different tuition rates:

  1. Non-Residents: This rate applies to families who are not residents of Iceland, meaning they do not have Icelandic social ID numbers (kennitala) and/or legal residency in the Greater Reykjavík area. Non-residents are not entitled to a municipality voucher.
  2. Residents with Tuition Paid by a Company: For local residents whose tuition is covered by a company, the municipality voucher is subtracted from full tuition. Residents must apply to their municipality annually to be eligible for the municipality voucher.
  3. Residents Paying Out of Pocket: Local residents who are personally financing their child's education can fill out a Financial Assistance form to be eligible for a discounted rate. Residents must apply to their municipality annually to be eligible for the municipality voucher.
  4. Residents living in Garðabær: Due to an agreement with the municipality of Garðabær, the tuition and fee structure for residents of Garðabær differs slightly. Residents of Garðabær should contact us for further clarification of the tuition and fee structure.

We strive to provide a high-quality education that is accessible and fair, reflecting the support systems in place for each family.
