An interactive, innovative and engaging learning experience!
Our STEAM curriculum at ISI was launched in the 2017-2018 school year. This approach allows students to engage in interdisciplinary activities through hands-on learning experiences. During STEAM activities, students work with their peers to solve real-world issues. Lessons are guided by the engineering design process, i.e. groups define problems, research the issue, come up with possible solutions, develop and create a prototype, and then test, evaluate, and redesign their products. The focus is on creating solutions.
ISI teachers describe STEAM as an adventurous way for students to be creative and develop their critical thinking skills. They love how engaged many students become, even staying in for recess and after school to continue to work! Below are pictures of STEAM at ISI this year.
