ISI Points of Pride
ISI Points of Pride is a photo series designed to highlight some of our successes over our more than 10-year history, including past accomplishments and features of our school that make us particularly proud. We are so grateful to the many who have helped make these achievements possible! We could not have done it without the support of our students, staff, parents and community.
Professional Development at ISI - As members of numerous international organisations - The Council of International Schools, Middle States Association, International Primary Curriculum and ECIS - our staff have access to the brightest, newest ideas as well as many professional learning opportunities.
Our Municipality - Our fabulous location in Garðabær, minutes away from the city center with a nearby beach and lava fields to explore. Within the school, we have an athletic center with gym and pool and a music room with recording studio and other inviting spaces! In addition, it is beautifully located for many of our favorite activities, such as our annual ski trip, tree planting day and more! We look forward to going berry picking with our students in the first few weeks of school!
Our PTA - We are so lucky at ISI to have an active, enthusiastic Parent-Teacher Association who supports us throughout the year and plans many special events. Each year, they give our students a special gift at the beginning of the year. This year's students received an insulated lunch bag. Thank you to our PTA!
Our 10-year Anniversary Celebration - Since 2004, ISI has been leaders in international education with a strong vision based on a solid foundation. On May 14, 2014, ISI celebrated 10 years as pioneers of international education in Iceland. We were joined by the entire ISI family for a night of fun, including Illugi Gunnarsson, Minister of Education of Iceland, pictured here with our Principal Hanna Hilmarsdóttir and our Head of Academics, Berta Faber.
