Lunch

 

Children can bring their own lunch to school or sign up for the hot-meal plan.  Garðabær has contracted with H & K matur for the upcoming school year.  The cost per meal is 428 krona.  More information can be found (in Icelandic) on www.heittogkalt.is

ITR  For information regarding local activities  for children.

 

Ahus  The intercultural centre located in downtown Reykjavik.  They support many activities including assistance with taxes and legal matters and a parents' group.  Additional information can be found on the website. 

 

Mother Tongue Association  Offers the following language classes to bilingual children: English, Dutch, Japanese, Lithuanian, Spanish, Russian and Thai. Children must be aged 4 - 13 Empasizes the imortance of eduation in the mother tongue. Please note that English classes are not being run this autumn.
